A Great Barcelona Vacation Plan

By Jack Blacksmith

When traveling to large cities such as Barcelona, deciding between the best hotels can be a major issue for many people. In this article you’ll learn about all the different accommodations at your fingertips for your traveling pleasure through Barcelona and your best bets on where to stay. Whether you’re looking to stay in maximum comfort at a 4 or 5 star hotel, or if you’re on a budget and looking for cheaper accommodations, or if you just want to be adventurous and want to camp even, there’s something available for you in the great city of Barcelona.

It’s always good to follow a proven itinerary when traveling to a new city, or even revisiting one such as I have done with Barcelona. There are great architectural wonders throughout Barcelona, as well as a fine cultural that you’ll want to experience, but getting everything in can prove quite daunting without the proper plan.

So here’s a recommended plan. If you’re looking for an amazing theme park adventure, Port Aventura is a great place to hit during your trip. From the Barcelona Airport, you can grab a specific transfer that will get you directly there. If you’re renting your own car because you have other plans for Barcelona as well, then it’s important to know that Europcar will give you a special price if you’re staing at the Port Aventura Hotels.

You can get a package deal put together before hand and choose which of the four star hotels that you would like to stay at in the theme park. These stays include your lodging as well as breakfast, plus your tickets for entrance to Port Aventura, as well as there neighboring Caribbean Water Park.

If you would like a stay at a Mediterranean Style Hotel, then you will love the beautifully decorated Portaventura Hotel. If you’re looking for more of the authentic Spanish look then your stay at the El Paso Hotel will thrill you with there decorative style. How about staying at the Caribe Port Hotel, wher you’ll have access to the biggest swimming pool with white sand in the entire world. Frankly, these hotels are even better than the ones right on the waterfront of Barcelona.

If you want to really want to be lavish on your vacation and money is not much of an issue then you can choose to stay at the Arts Hotel in Barcelona. This hotel features an ideal view of the marina’s port from any suite, or even from their double rooms or even better duplex apartments. In this hotel you will be well taken care of and catered to by a highly trained and very friendly staff, as well as be able to enjoy there top of the line facilities. If you want to live the good life with your food choices as well, you can visit the Goyescas restaurant. Their menu is first class with anything being a brilliant recommendation. The fine choice of wine will accompany nearly any dish.

Another beautiful area that you won’t want to miss on your trip to Spain is the amazing Costa Brava. With a combination of an excellent summer climate and beautiful beaches there has been seen the construction of a mighty numbers of hotels and in ocean front resorts such as Tossa de Mar, Lloret de Mar and l'Estartit.

A vacation in this area could turn out to be a beautiful honeymoon or anniversary for a snuggly couple or a great memorable family vacation that will leave the whole family less stressed and much more relaxed.

Jack Blacksmith's detailed articles are found on plenty of online publications with information about holiday and travel. Recording his experience in detailed writings on Barcelona Hotels and travel the writer affirmed his expertise on the subject.

Tour Las Vegas And Discover More Than Just a Casino

By Darlene Berkel

Booking a Las Vegas tour can open the possibilities to more than just visiting a bunch of casinos and catching the nightly shows, though those are still fun things to do when visiting Vegas. What else is there to do than sit at a blackjack table or a slot machine? I'm glad you asked. Let's take a look.

Las Vegas (often informally abbreviated to "Vegas") is one of the most dynamic cities in the world. It has "reinvented" itself as an internationally known vacation, shopping, entertainment, and gambling destination. In short, it has become a hotspot for dining, vacationing and shopping over the years. Much more than just casino's.

The Grand Canyon

For the geographically challenged you'll be pleased to note that visiting the Grand Canyon is available while on a Las Vegas tour. The park was founded as Grand Canyon National Monument in 1908 by President Theodore Roosevelt, and became a national park in 1919.

The Grand Canyon we visit today is a gift from past generations. It is a massive canyon carved over several million years by the Colorado River. One of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world, Grand Canyon is unmatched in the incomparable vistas it offers to visitors on the rim. Visit the south rim of the Grand Canyon and see just where they get all those great shots on the post cards, or take a helicopter trip 4,000 feet down to the base and have a picnic.

While down there you could take the time to explore some American Indian land. The Grand Canyon is among the most popular of camping and hiking destinations, and is more than 217 miles long. At its narrowest it is a mere 4 miles across, while some pieces of it stretch a yawning 18 miles wide. Try your hand at whitewater, or calm water, rafting in the Colorado River that flows along the base of this amazing canyon.

Ghost Towns

Ghost towns are another popular choice when taking a Las Vegas tour, with Potosi Ghost Town being one of the first ghost towns in Nevada. Originally settled by Mormon pioneers, it was their drive for self-sufficiency economically that led to them mining for lead. About 9,000 pounds of lead was recovered from the "Mountain of Lead" 30 miles southwest of the mission at Las Vegas Springs before smelting difficulties forced the remote mine to be abandoned in 1857. In 1861 interested parties in California reopened the Potosi mine and what is now called the Union Pacific was built through the area in 1905. A lot of history resides in these old ghost towns you can visit during a Las Vegas tour.

Secret Garden of Siegfried & Roy and the Dolphin Habitat

Fun choices for the animal enthusiast on a Las Vegas tour, the Secret Garden is a natural habitat that allows you a chance to get a closer look at the rare breeds Siegfried and Roy use in their nightly shows. Catch a glimpse of the famous Royal White Tigers, Bengal tigers, the panthers and snow leopards as well as an Asian elephant. Right next door at the Mirage Hotel you can watch the dolphins play in a habitat that is as close as you can get to natural in the middle of a desert. If your Las Vegas tour doesn't include these sights in the plan, you might stop by to see them anyway, as the admission covers both locations.

Elvis-A-Rama Museum

Interested in seeing a massive homage to one of the biggest musical stars of all time? Check out the Elvis-A-Rama Museum on your Las Vegas tour and see over $3 million worth of Elvis memorabilia in this unique tribute located behind the Fashion Show Mall. Among the more notable pieces in this collection are the 35kt red star ruby ring and many custom designed Hollywood movie outfits he wore. Even his fantastic automobiles and first ski boat are on display, along with an 80 foot long Elvis-A-Rama mural by artist Robert Shappy which is noted as the world's largest tribute to the "King".

With a shark reef inside Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino, circus shows inside Circus Circus, and tropical birds to be seen in the Tropicana you rarely need to leave your hotel to see interesting sights. But for the best in Las Vegas adventure, be sure to book yourself a Las Vegas tour.
